Tips To Live By

Any single ladies in the house? Silly question because I am a single lady. Anyway here is the tip of the day, week or life time. So here it is....
~all you lovely ladies who like to go to bars or clubs to find men here is my advise/tip that may just save your life. We live in a society where everyone has a camera phone. So when you meet that guy in the bar take his picture any normal non strange guy wont care and he might even think it's flattering. By taking the picture you can then email it to a faithful girlfriend they intern know the last person you were seen with. And should you single ladies decide to get into a car with said stranger, as you walk past the license plate take a photo. Yes again send it to your friend, that way if god forbid you come up missing someone can provide the police with a photo and license plate number of the last person you were with.

Just looking out for all you Single Ladies, if we don't look out for each other who will?

Apricot Grilled Chicken

Here is an easy way to cook chicken, don't worry it's easy and oh so yummy.

Apricot BBQ Sauce:
2/3 cup apricot preserves
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
½ teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon finely chopped fresh ginger
¼ cup ketchup

Chicken:
4 whole chicken legs
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1) Prepare grill, medium heat
2) Apricot BBQ: Stir apricot preserves, mustard, garlic powder, ginger and ketchup until combined.
3) Chicken: Remove skin from chicken legs. Season all over with salt and pepper. Grill 20-30 minutes, turning occasionally. Brush chicken with half the sauce during the last 5 minutes of cooking, serve remaining sauce on the side.

This is soo yummy.

Yup that describes me...I am pretty sure I have the flu. I called the doctor just to find out some symptoms of this nasty H1N1 crap well I have most of the symptoms. Yup just my luck, tummy ache, headache, chills, fever and other much more entertaining issues. Hopefully I survive this crap and I'm better by the end of the week.
Anybody else had this crap and live to tell about it?

Where I'm from....

I live in a smallish town in Northern California. It once was alot smaller that is until the city folks okay city-diots moved in.
~You can wear jeans and flip flops all fall.
~I'm less than two hours from the coast and mountains.
~I know most people in this town. Either I went to school with them or my family did.
~You can smell the change of seasons in the air.
~People help one another during crisis.
~You can see all the stars in the sky but also the lights of the city from most bluffs.
~We have an old court house and even older church right across the street from each other.
~We have huge events for every holiday that focuses on the family and small town charm.

Eight years ago today....

Some terrorist flew a few planes into some buildings and killed thousands. Our world has changed a lot in the past 8 years but I am still very thankful to live in this great country. Thank you to all the military personal that are fighting for our rights over sea's. I stand and honor you, your families and those that were lost. Always remember that today Sept. 11th some gave all but all gave some.

They will rebuild!

They are going to rebuild along with most of their neighbors. Great news!!! I went over to their house to see what I could do,look through rubble or move metel from the RV, sheds and other machines. I found my uncle there already making plans. Plans to bring in dirt and tractors this week, to make it right somehow again. Sad thing is my grandparents still have not been in to see the wreckage, it's just too much for them.
They will rebuild their lives.
